About ANG

Ang and her Clydie ASH X filly Cherry
A passion for the role painting plays in interpreting and representing all things equine drives the work of Australian artist Ang Bagiotas. A painter with more than 20 years’ experience, Ang has applied her high-level technical skills and unique perspective to a wide range of subjects, and her works, a selection of which can be seen at http://www.bagiotas.com, feature in many private collections.
Ang is a keen horsewoman, so her focus on the equestrian world is a natural and passionate one. Ang understands and loves horses and, combined with her sharp eye, has a terrific ability to represent them in all their glory.
Ang enjoys capturing the essence of horses with a natural and sensitive realism. She also has the artistic flair to use colour and a vigorous technique to capture the energy and vibrancy of horses.
A feature of Ang’s work is the composition of her creations. Her abstract work often challenges the viewer with unexpected perspectives and powerful chromatic rhythms. This, coupled with her strength as a realist, give her work its original and inventive approach.
Drawing on a comprehensive Visual and Fine Arts education, Ang deftly combines traditional rules and techniques and with abstract highlights. Her broad technical expertise and original eye mean she can undertake any commission request, whether it involves realistic or expressive techniques.
